Everybody wanted to be from Pécs…or at least be in Pécs during the Pécs University Days - aka PEN.Huge party, full house, fantastic mood and the best of Hungarian music.
The University of Pécs and the Pécs Zoo signed a cooperation agreement, according to which students and staff of the university receive a discount when visiting the zoo. Students can also get an internship at the zoo.
The PTE Dance Team finished first and became Hungarian champions at the 5th Cheer Hungarian University-College National Championships in Budapest on 15 April 2018 in the Show Cheer Team category.
On the occasion of the Memorial Day of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848 the University of Pécs conferred Honorary Doctor, Honorary Professor and Honorary Associate Professor titles. Habilitation certificates, PhD degrees, honorary professor, honorary assistant professor and professor emeritus titles have also been awarded in the József Halasy-Nagy Aula on 14 March 2018.
Both TED and TEDx provide a background for distributing ideas that are worth spreading. The non-profit organization that was launched 30 years ago in California has grown into a worldwide platform, quite similar to a movement. On 15 February 2018 – with a completely sold out event - Pécs also joined the list of TEDx conferences.
