By this time the University of Pécs has more than 4000 international students, which is  an important milestone in the history of the university.  

The University of Pécs hosted its international recruitment partners at a Jubilee Agency Meeting. The goal of the event was to depend the existing partnerships through a variety of programs in our city and find further ways of cooperation involving new academic fields.

The International Student Hub is a new and exciting initiative established with the ambition to accomodate the wide range of needs of international students at the Faculty of Humanities. 

At the beginning of the term the traffic is coloured by cyclists. It is important to pay attention to them, at the same time the cyclists should be aware of traffic rules. Therefore the goal of the Bikers’ breakfast was to draw the attention of students on bicycles.

This summer was as busy as always at PTE, festivals after festivals, summer schools after summer schools. For one of these summer schools (18th Hungarian Language and Culture Summer School) people came to try their fortune with Hungarian language. In the program we can meet everybody, from youngsters to elders. There are absolute beginners and there are students who were here before but it is not only about the language, they have the opportunity to get a little bit more familiar with the local culture and history.

Pécs-based actress and leader of the English-language theater for foreign university students, Judit Fekete explains, how these two things both have an effect on her life.

In the framework of the teacher exchange Erasmus program, Dr. habil Zoltán Huszár PhD, associate professor of  the Institute of Culture, Library and Social Sciences, and Dr. habil Péter Várnagy PhD, Head of Department of Cultural Theory and History were visiting Lithuania.

Qais Yousufi arrived from Afghanistan on a grant in 2012, and obtained a degree at the department of International Studies at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Pécs. He is recalling the past few years and tells us about one of his favourite places, the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter.

More than 80 representatives of Higher Education Institutions from 20 countries attended the gathering at Pécs. During the academic sessions organised in the framework of the event, experts reflected about migrations and the changing roles of Universities in an interdependent world. The Compostela Group of Universities awarded the Prize Grupo Compostela-Xunta de Galicia to Marcelino Oreja Aguirre, driver of the designation of Saint James Way as the first cultural route of the Council of Europe, during the closing ceremony of its XXIII General Assembly, held in the Hungarian town of Pécs.
