International Spring is here!
The International Spring is organized for the second time at the University of Pécs in order to celebrate the diversity of the more than 4000 international students from all over the world.
There will be interesting and diverse programmes from March till May at various locations in Pécs. The programme starts with Asia Days on 19-22 March 2018. Indonesia is going to be the first to introduce their culture through dance shows, documentaries and a taste of their gastronomical delights on 19 March 2018.
20 March is dedicated to Chinese culture starting at 3:30 pm at the House of Arts and Literature, followed by a presentation at 5 pm by István Tarrósy at the Rector's Office. Then at 6 pm a photo exhibition will be opened introducing the Confutian Institute in Pécs, which is celebrating its 3rd anniversary. Then from 7 pm the show 'Mystical Power of the Shaolin Monks' is presented in the Kodály Centre (ticket needed).
On 21 March from 5 pm in E78, Zsolnay Cultural Quarter you can experience India: photo exhibition, sitar and tabla concenrts, dance shows, presentations and an interactive yoga performace are among the programmes of the day.
On Thursday, 22 March you can enjoy the delights of Japanese culture in Király street 9: you can taste delicious green teas, enjoy the art of Japanese paper folding, called origami and the amazing gift-wrapping called furoshiki.
Then there is going to be an interesting presentation about Japan by a Japanese student studying at the University of Pécs. The programmes are free (except the show in the Kodály Centre). Follow the programme's website for more information and updates:
