UI GreenMetric released the results of its UI Green Metric World Ranking Universities last year. This is the seventh edition of ranking which compares universities’ efforts towards campus sustainability and environment friendly university management. In 2016 the University of Pécs occupies the 4th position of the Hungarian universities included in this ranking. Globally it’s in position 355.
The "Pécsi Zenit" wine of the Research Institute Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs has won the title of "wine of the year 2016"!
On the 9th of November, 2016 the University of Pécs held the festive event of giving away new doctorary certificates. On this festive occassion promotions were handed over by the leadership of the Universirty.
The latest university ranking was published by the Quacquarelli Symonds Company from London. The University of Pécs also demanded a position for itself as a new participant of the top universities’ list.
On the occasion of our national holiday, 20th August, high state awards were conferred on several tutors of our university during the ceremony held in the ceremonial hall of the Vigadó Pest on 18th August.
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) has published its latest 2016 ranking list. The University of Pécs demanded a place for itself among the world’s top universities as well.
Ministerial awards, professor emeritus, honorary professor, honorary docent and habilitated doctor degrees, PhD and DLA degrees were conferred in the Halasy-Nagy József Aula on 17th June.
The Hungarian Academy of Science (MTA) chose three new UP-related members in its 187th general meeting in Budapest 2. May, 2016.
The Award for International Development of Higher Education was ceremoniously handed over for the Centre for International Relations of the University of Pécs.
