As a result of the longstanding good relationship between the Embassy of the Republic of India in Hungary and the University of Pécs Asia Centre, the scientific and cultural cooperation between the UP, the Indian state and the city of Pécs, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations donated a Gandhi's bust to the university.

The Medical School joined the national "Köszikávé" Day charity initiative on Friday 26. September.

The Library and Information Sciences Institute of the Adult Education and Human Resources Development Faculty of the University of Pécs cordially invites you to the lecture of Ragnar Audunson, professor of the Oslo University College, held on 16 September 2014.

On 8 September 2014, the healing work began in the A (West) and C (North) wings of the 400-bed Clinic currently undergoing renovation. In the first stage the units of the B wing (East) have been moved to the above mentioned two newly renovated wings.

From 1 September on, the InterCity trains going from Pécs to the capital city at 11:14, from Budapest to the capital of Baranya county departing at 17:45 are named PTE IC, intended to increase "brand" awareness of the UP.

The new academic year 2014/15 has been officially opened on 1 September 2014. Awards and prices have been conferred upon lecturers and students by Rector József Bódis.

The Run for the Cancer treatment in Pécs! charity run will be held for the sixth time on September 13, which already raised 9,645,000 Ft with the help of 8945 participants supporting the cure of cancer patients in the past years.
