A unique initiative was launched by the University of Pécs in the previous school year, in order to support its first-year students. We created the UP Rectors' Scholarship for the students in the first semester of their degree programs.

The UP Rectors' Scholarship was given to those students, who pursue their studies on self-financed, regular BA or degree programme who selected the UP on the first place and scored among the best 100.

The rate of the grant is 100,000 Forints, which the University reimburses from the fee for the  approved students for the first academic semester. From the second semester on the students can apply for the talent, academic and social scholarships of the UP.

To this solemn occasion, the University of Pécs invited Kitti Szilágyi, student admitted to the Business Administration of the UP Faculty of Business and Management, asked to represent - on the basis of the results achieved in the traditional admission process - the additional 99 scholarship-receiving students to take over the certificate from the rector. The UP students receiving a scholarship will be notified in a letter during this week.

We would like to wish success in their studies!

The opening ceremony was closed with the words of János Rinfel, President of the Student Union of the University.
