Dear Erasmus students! Welcome to the UP! – Orientation day was held

The University of Pécs Centre for International Relations organized an orientation day for foreign students studying in the UP. In this semester 130 Erasmus students arrived to the University of Pécs to 9 faculties, from 19 countries and 87 partner universities within the framework of Erasmus+ Programme.

The event - in which beside the invited students also Faculty Erasmus coordinators took part – was held at the Centre for Learning on 5. September.

On the part of the university Dr. István Tarrósy, director of the Centre for International Relations greeted the foreign students who will study in our university by Erasmus+ and other contracts between universities in this first semester of the academic year of 2016/2017. Péter Árvai, ERASMUS + referent described the progress of the student administration. The EHÖK Erasmus Student Network presented its cultural and sport events for UP and Pécs students. A presentation was held by the Marketing Office, in which the print and online university media was introduced.

In the orientation day students could hear about theoretical and practical information: about registration, the aliens’ tasks, student hostels as well as about the „Hungarian as a foreign language” course at the University and cultural programmes for foreign students.

Beside the 130 Erasmus students 18 students came to the UP within the framework of other inter-university agreements:  from Mexico, from South Korea, from Russia, from Serbia, from Ukraine, from United States and from Philippine Islands.
