At this concert, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the best of contemporary brass chamber-music by Grammy Award winning authors, such as Michael Kamen or Dave Brubeck. The programme of the evening also includes pieces from Roland Barrett and Anthony Plog that we can call classics; you will hear brilliant works of jazz and movie soundtracks set by Jack Gale among others, from melodies of Duke Ellington to those of Leonard Bernstein. At the concert faculty members and students of the Institute of Music, as well as the Trombone Band Pécs (Pécsi Harsonaegyüttes) will show you their musical skills.

Voices for Hospices is a wave of simultaneous concerts around the globe which takes place on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day every two years. The objective of the event is to raise funds and awareness for hospice and palliative care around the world.

These events could be concerts from any musical genre, poetry events, drama evenings or spoken word. The multi-choir event event will take place on 11 October 2014 at the Dr. Romhányi György Aula in Pécs.
