Serbian university delegation visited the UP

Organised by the Centre for International Relations of the UP, vice-rectors for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Affairs officials visited the UP from Serbian universities within the scope of the TEMPUS SIPUS project from 21. April to 24. April.

The opening ceremony of the program was held in the Senate Hall of the Rector’s Office of the UP on 21 April, 10 o’clock: Gábor Czéh, Foreign Affairs officer of the Centre for International Relations of the UP and Dr. István Tarrósy, director of the Centre for International Relations of the UP greeted the guests.

The purpose of the study visit of the six Serbian higher education institutions is to orient themselves about the international projects and external relations of our university. In the opening ceremony Ms. Ágnes Simon, Project Leader of the Campus Hungary Programme, Balassi Institute and Ms. Petra Neumayer, deputy head Campus Hungary Programme presented the activity of their institution and the continuously expanding international opportunities.

The UP joined the EU TEMPUS SIPUS (Strengthening of Internationalisation Policies at Universities in Serbia) project in 2013.

The Serbian universities organize study visits to their EU partners (another EU parteners: Unversity of Ghent, University of Graz and University of Alicante).

The coordinator of the program is one of the partner universities of the UP: the University of Novi Sad. Other universities taking part in the project: University of Belgrade, University of Nis, University of Kragujevac, University of Novi Pazar, University Singidunum.

The purpose of the UP is to strengthen its relations with Serbia and its presence in its own region.
