25th jubilee of the Faculty of Health Sciences

The representatives of the international partner institutes and the leaders of the professional organnisations of this diverse discipline also participated in the event. Mr. Betlehem Józse, dean of the Faculty emphasised, that this 25 years doesn't seem a long time, however if we have to take into consideration, that the discipline itself was declared only a few decades ago.

Mr. József Bódis, former leader of the faculty remembered, that history was made by establishing the faculty. He also participated in the establishment during the 90s of the Doctoral School of the Facultzy of Health Sciences, making it possible to ensure the leader and educational staff recruitment from an own source. The positive outcomes of this action were also confirmed by the results in the past few years.

The audience was also guided through the history of the faculty with a thorough historical review. The present was outlined through the current statistical data, whgich show an increase in the number of students, the developing programme portfolio and the significant increase in the number of qualified lecturers. In the future, the faculty is going to focus on the vocational training development, widening the range of foreign language training and sustaining the regional role of the institution.
