Michael Ignatieff, President and Rector of CEU expressed his gratitude to Mr. József Bódis for the support CEU received from the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference. The full version of the message can be read below!
Dear Mr. Chairman,
I would like to express my gratitude for the support CEU received from the Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and particularly for the support we received from you. I emphatically agree with what you told Zsolt Enyedi: all we need is that the government allows us to go back to academic work. I hope this will happen rather sooner than later. Your voice plays a very important role in convincing the government that CEU is an asset and that the politicization of academic matters is harmful for everybody involved. Thank you very much for your contribution."
