First Festival of Medical Students and Doctors
The first edition of the Festival of Medical Students and Doctors (Hungarian abbreviation: MOF) will be organised between the 26th and the 30th of June, 2014 at the Lake Balaton. The event of the UP's Medical School is located in Balatonkenese. The realization of the festival was supported by the Student Unions of the medical universities in Szeged, Debrecen and Budapest.
As a youth festival, there will be a number of sports programmes, entertaining performances, DJ-s and other show elements - but the event which is just about to take place has another great purpose as well.
On Friday, the 27th of June professional issues will stand in the centre of attention. Participants of specific workshops and round table meetings will discuss current matters of the higher education in medicine with prestigious representatives of the Hungarian health care system and medical education. Moreover, domestic firms and teaching hospitals will show up with over 150 fresh job openings in order to foster the work placement of medical students inside the country.
