Charity Pancake
900 pancakes filled with nutella, cocoa-powder, jam, cinnamon, cottage cheese were served for the students on Pancake Day (on Tuesday 17th of February) at the Medical School of the University of Pécs. It was the second Charity Pancake Day organized by an enthusiastic group of students.
All of the ingredients came from donations, 25 kind people gifted eggs, flour, milk, sugar, oil, napkins, plates and filling materials, 55 students made and rolled pancakes. All of them were honored by the organizers with a special minion-card. Kinga Bozsogi, one of the organizers said: We sold 300 pancakes and collected 75000 HUF last year. This year we have tripled the amount of pancakes!
The students were excited about the charity action, bedazzled by the scents of the fresh filled meal they begun to eat and eat… Someone told us: “I'm really fed up, but I try to choke down another pancake just for the benefit of the incurable children." “It was the best moment of the day!” – said Kinga Bozsogi. 550 pancakes were sold. The Szemem Fénye, the first children-hospice foundation of Hungary will be supported with the total income of the event.
