The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya, jointly with Enterprise Europe Network Pécs, the Hungarian National Trading House and well-known Hungarian enterprises are organizing on 4-6 October 2017 a Brokerage Event (B2B meeting) and related professional conference in Pécs, Hungary.

During the year the University of Pécs offers many programs for the international community. The International Spring continues in May with the 18th Ibero-American week. Our May conferences offer insight to the scientific diversity of the university with themes such as the history of health sciences and innovation. Visitors also have the opportunity to experience the 650 years history of the higher education in Pécs by visiting the history exhibition of the university in the Klimo Library which opens at the end of the month!
Erasmus+ Staff Week was organized by the University of Pécs in the framework of the International Spring at the end of the April. The conference and workshop addressed topics of interest in the field of international relations, particularly the Erasmus+ mobility programme.
Have you had a ride with the PTE 650 jubilee locomotive? Not yet? A train celebrating the 650th anniversary of the foundation of the first Hungarian university has entered into operation at the Western train station in Budapest. Besides PTE IC, a PTE locomotive is now in service for travellers and spreads the fame of the university wherever it goes. The MÁV-START railway company and the University of Pécs jointly decorated the PTE locomotive, which commemorates the founders of the first university.
The international European students of Pécs bring their respective cultures to the citizens of Pécs through concerts, culinary demonstrations, country presentations, performances, and film screenings! The events are part of the PTE 650 Jubilee celebration of the University of Pécs.
It is our great pleasure to announce the 48th International Symposium on Essential Oils (ISEO2017), which will be held in one of the most significant Hungarian cities, Pécs, on 10-13 September, 2017. Pécs received the title of the European Capital of Culture in 2010, it is the fifth largest city of Hungary located on the slopes of the Mecsek Mountains in the south-west region of the country close to Croatia. In Hungary, our city is the richest in terms of Turkish architectures, additionally, the Roman Paleochristian cemetery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. The Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture, the company that introduced the famous eosin glazing process and pyrogranite ceramics, can also be found here. The Medieval University (Hungary’s first university founded in 1367) can be visited behind the monumental Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. Kodály Centre, the concert hall of the city, was one of the most important and most spectacular investments of Pécs 2010 European Capital of Culture project and now it is one of the best and increasingly recognized music venues of Hungary and Central Europe.
