Trains running between the two cities already carry a large number of students of the university, so the institutional affiliation may also be increased further by the name.

According to the cooperation agreement between the UP and MÁV-START Railway Passenger Transport Company, the train going in the morning from Pécs to the capital and the IC departing from Budapest to the Baranya county seat in the late afternoon hours bears the name of the first university of Hungary until 13 December 2014. In connection to the train named after the university more flash mobs were organized: the UP Dance Team cheerleaders entertained with their performances the passengers of the Pécs and the Keleti railway station.
