International Sopiane Photo Salon

The Sopianae International Photo Salon contributes to the cultural life of Pécs and the University, and continues the tradition of the successful Pécs based photographers of the 60s’ and 70s’. The Salon is organized with the patronage of The International Federation of Photographic Art, and we host the world’s best
photographers here in Pécs.
Carl Orff: Carmina Burana – the concert of the Institute of Music, Faculty of Arts

Dóm square
The concert will introduce Carl Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’ with versions written for solo, choir, two pianos and percussions. The peculiarity of the opus is that the texts adapted by Orff date back to the 14th and 15th centuries, the time of the foundation of PTE. In addition the verses were written by students. The University
Choir of UP will join professors and students of the Institute to perform the piece. Conductor: Prof. Dr. Tamás Lakner, Dean of the Faculty of Music and Visual Arts, owner of a Liszt Award.
