Ecumenical theological conference – Christian freedom and social modernization? Theological and cultural consequences of reformation

The event is part of the PTE 650 Jubilee celebration of the University of Pécs.

The conference is primarily intended to reflect not on the historical figure of Luther and the unfolding of Lutheran Reformation, but its consequences in the modern European secular and religious culture. Accordingly, the presentations at the conference will partly be dealing with the current theological achievements of the research on Luther and Lutheran thinking, and partly exploring the correlations between European modernisation and reformation, and examining how Lutheran Christianity is represented on the religious map of Europe.
