The "Pécsi Zenit" wine of the Research Institute Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs has won the title of "wine of the year 2016"!
Diploma of the Research Institute Viticulture and Enology
Based on several centuries old vineyards and winery, the scientific workshop was created by the Minister of Agriculture in 1949. Its aim was to aid in the planned econstruction of plantations, and serving as the experimental station in support of the Research Institute Viticulture and Enology, and has been functional since 1950. The institute operates as an institution within the UP. Its priorities include research, consultation and education. These objectives can be accomplished in a thirty-hectare vineyard in a cellar boasting a capacity of 5000 hectoliters and a multifunctional laboratory.
