Meeting in the Russian Center
On 7th October, Russian-speaking students who study at the University of Pécs, gathered in the Russian Center of Pécs. Meetings like these are traditionally held each semester for all of the students who wish to get acquainted with the Russian World Fund, The Russian Center and discuss their plans for the upcoming semester.
This time students from the following seven countries got together: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Poland, Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Jordan. Participants shared their impressions about Hungary, the city of Pécs, and its university. The head of The Russian Center Valentyina Végvári introduced the agenda of the Centre and invited everyone to take part in the second "Literary and musical evening ", which is dedicated to the Year of Russian literature. The event awakened the interest of participants and some of them expressed their wish to read out at loud the poems of Russian poets or to sing the songs based on their poems.
Students will also participate in the "Academy of Young Scientists", where they will have an opportunity to meet Hungarian students and lecturers with their respective researches. They will also attend the third «Literary and musical evening», which will take place on 18th November. Furthermore, December a traditional event of the Russian Center will be held: «Cousins of all countries unite!».
