Zoltán Bachmann, Artist of the Nation has passed away

Zoltán Bachmann, Artist of the Nation, Kossuth and Ybl Prize winner professor emeritus passed away after a long illness endured with patience aged 70 on 2. July 2015.
Zoltán Bachmann was a Kossuth-, Steindl-, Ybl-, Pro Architectura-, Szent-Györgyi Albert-, Princz Gyula and Prima Primissima Prize winner architect who was a dominant figure of the architecture and heritage protection of Pécs.
He designed among other things the Dóm Museum in Pécs, the Expo Center and the UP Szentágothai János Research Centre.
The University of Pécs and the UP Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology reckon Professor Bachmann as their own departed and they share the grief of the family.
