Interview with the colleagues of the Neuroscientific Centre
President István Ábrahám and leader committee member Zsuzsanna Helyes talked about the operation and objectives of the Neuroscientific Centre of the Szentágothai János Research Centre.
"The Neuroscientific Centre is a professional conglomerate, it consits of especially professional cooperations. This is not a traditional centre working only nominally but the sum of neuroscientists who are almost in a friendly relationship with each other and support each other’s work" - said István Ábrahám.
As Zsuzsanna Helyes strengthened, there are no borders among the research groups: "We don’t need to sacrifice years of hard work to find out a method that our colleague already knows but we help each other also in the laboratory daily. Our PhD students are common, which means there are no borders. My own PhD students don’t ask only from me but also from István and from the other colleagues from the Faculty of Sciences".

Mr. Ábrahám thinks they have to solve the problems fast enough, otherwise almost each 3. person will suffer from some kind of neurological disease – of psychiatric or neurological origin - after 20, 30, 40 years. "It is a very good feeling that people in the Earth can make benefit from our work" - he told.
