Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Botanical Garden

As a result of the longstanding good relationship between the Embassy of the Republic of India in Hungary and the University of Pécs Asia Centre, the scientific and cultural cooperation between the UP, the Indian state and the city of Pécs, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations donated a Gandhi's bust to the university.

The work of art was placed in the UP Botanical Garden on the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
