UP Career Day and Job Fair - It is your service!
For the 10th time in line the annual Career Day and Job Fair was being organized at the University of Pécs in order to provide a big variety of open positions from numerous employers, as well as practice-driven trainings and session speeches for students, freshly graduates and alumni. The fair took place in the Knowledge Centre of the University of Pécs on the 6th of May, 2014.
The event offered an outstanding change for students to meet representatives and HR department members of about 30 exhibitor companies, e.g. Bosch, Exxon Mobil, Hauni Hungary Ltd., IT Services and Tata Consultancy Services. The programme was suitable not only for future or current jobseekers, but also for those who consider to fulfil an internship or to apply for a study abroad programme.
The job expo was spiced up this year with a special preparatory day; on the 5th of May visitors had the opportunity to listen to career stories and personal experiences of famous Hungarian individuals, including:
- dr. Mária Törőcsik, a great authority on marketing who is often interviewed as an expert featuring on marketing management or consumer behaviour. Thanks to her decades worth of professional experience she has also frequently appeared on TV and been on air in different radio programmes as well.
- József Fodor, CEO of the radio station called Rádió1 Pécs; also known as the person in charge for parties and festivals in Pécs.
- Tamás Sors, Paralympic champion in swimming.
- Zsófia Csonka, Olympic champion in sports shooting.
- The immigrants, popular and young, dynamic Hungarian music band.
The Career Day was organized by the Central Office of Student Services of the UP (in Hungarian: KÖSZI). Hereby, we would like to thank everyone who took part in the preparation work and who visited our event.
