Prestigious Awards in the Celebration of the National Holiday of Hungary
Several professors and associate professors of the University of Pécs received prestigious awards for their outstanding contributions on the national holiday of 20 August 2018 in Budapest.
Minister Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler acting on behalf of János Áder, the President of Hungary awarded state decorations and honours in celebration of the national holiday.
For their outstanding service, the following received the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary Knight’s Cross Civilian Division:
- Dr. Lajos Botz, professor, Faculty of Pharmacy
- Dr. Bernadette Péley, professor, Faculty of Humanities, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs
- Dr. Zoltán Szendi, professor, Faculty of Humanities.
For their significant contribution, the following received the prestigious Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary Officer’s Cross Civilian Division:
- Dr. László Bárdi, associate professor, Facutly of Sciences
- Dr. József Ulbert, associate professor, Faculty of Business and Economics.
Bence Rétvári, Deputy Minister of Human Capacities and Péter Fekete, Secretary of State for Culture presented Hungarian Golden, Silver and Bronze Cross of Merit decorations and honours, as well as Ferenc Móra, Gyula Pauler, József Szinnyei Awards in the Pesti Vigadó.
For their outstanding services, the following received the Golden Cross of Merit Civilian Division:
- Dr. Gabriella Gáspár, associate professor, Faculty of Humanities
- Dr. Irén Hegedűs, associate professor, Faculty of Humanities
- Dr. István Tarrósy, associate professor, Faculty of Humanities.
