Erasmus+ Programme - Staff Training
The University of Pécs calls for applications for participating in the mobility programme in the academic year 2016/2017 for members of the administrative (non-teaching) staff and members of the teaching staff performing administrative tasks as well.
Type of mobility: staff training
Staff training must be accomplished between 15 November 2016 and 30 April 2017.
The aim of the call for applications:
The aim of the administrative staff mobility is to promote the professional further training of the administrative staff of the University and the members of the teaching staff performing substantial administrative tasks at the Faculties and to support gaining experience and good practices to be utilised university-wide. Members of the teaching staff and teachers of all public education schools maintained by the University of Pécs can apply, provided the application is for performing a non-teaching activity.
The object of the application:
5 days’ professional experience:
- A maximum duration of 5 working days may be applied for:
- At a partner university or educational institution – in order to acquire good practices and participate in trainings; our European Erasmus+ partner institutions are recommended as target institutions, further we advise to get to know and acquire the good practices of a different partner institution each year.
- At a foreign enterprise, governmental and non-governmental organ, association, chamber, not-for-profit organisation or research centre – in order to strengthen corporate connections and organise professional internships;
- To attend professional meetings aiming at training and trainings,
- Conference attendance cannot be supported!
What support is provided by the programme?
Successful applicants can be awarded subsistence and travel expense support.
The extent of the support:
The amount of the grant contains two components: on the one hand it depends on the daily subsistence rate of the target country, which is to be multiplied by the number o days (exclusive of the days of the journey), the other component is to be calculated on the basis of the travel distance. These figures are contained in the table below:

Erasmus+ grants only contribute to the implementation of the trip abroad, they do not always cover all the costs and expenses incurred during the journey and the visit.
The start day of the mobility period is the day on which the participant must first appear at the receiving institution and the last day is the day on which the participant must last appear at the receiving institution.
Travel time is excluded from the mobility period.
Who can apply?
The following persons can participate in the Erasmus+ mobility programme:
- full-time employees;
- with a level of language knowledge to be able to communicate in the receiving institution. Language knowledge can be certified by a language exam certificate or a document certifying the result of an in-house placement test. If the applicant has neither of them, he or she must make a statement concerning his or her language knowledge in line with the Europass CV criteria. Applicants not possessing a language exam certificate must attend an interview conducted by a board.
- whose programme outlined in the application conform to the strategic objectives of the organisational unit and the university.
Members of the staff of the University of Pécs working in the central units, at the faculties and in the organisational units providing public educational and medical services in the following areas can apply:
- departmental/faculty/central coordinators dealing with the Erasmus+ programme,
- employees dealing with foreign students or international projects,
- leaders and staff members of studies groups, persons in charge of the Neptun system at the faculties,
- members of the Credit Transfer Committee,
- colleagues working in the field of marketing and PR,
- staff of financial departments,
- IT specialists,
- employees working with tenders and applications,
- employees working in the field of technology transfer,
- Employees working in libraries and the archives,
- members of the teaching staff performing administrative tasks as well,
- employees working in the Clinical Centre and the university pharmacy,
- employees working in public education institutions.
The mobility of 30-40 persons is expected to be supported in the year 2016/2017.
This Call for Applications should thoroughly be read before submitting your application.
Documents to be submitted:
One printed copy of the following documents must be submitted:
- fully completed application form;
- professional CV with photo;
- copy of the language exam certificate(s) or a document certifying the knowledge of the language depending on the target country or the specialism;
- work plan approved by the direct superior and agreed and signed by the receiving party (Erasmus+ form in English), which specifies the exact duration of the mobility in months and days.
- In the case of applying for participating in a Staff Week organised by an Erasmus+ partner university, an email from the receiving university confirming a place at the Staff Week is enough to be submitted as an attachment, in this case the work plan can be arranged after being awarded the grant.
Applications which are incomplete, do not satisfy the conditions, or submitted after the expiry of the deadline cannot be accepted.
Method and deadline for submitting the application:
Pursuant to the central call for applications, applications must be submitted on application forms filled in electronically, printed out, signed and then submitted together with the attachments referred to above to the Mobility Department of the International Relations Directorate of the University of Pécs (7622 Pécs, Vasvári Pál u. 4. office no.106) not later than 3 p.m. on 20 October 2016, ( the date of accession the date of receipt )the completed application form together with the supporting reference of the direct superior written in MS Word format must be sent to Judit Németh, Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator to the following email account: nemeth.judit@pte.hu.
Evaluation of applications submitted:
A professional committee set up by the university evaluates the applications and makes a proposal for the Committee on Foreign Affairs within 4 weeks reckoned from the expiry of the deadline for submission. General criteria of evaluation are as follows:
- the applicant can make good practices prevail if the planned activity is realised, thus improving the operation of the organisational unit and the institution;
- the applicant should share the experience and good practices acquired with his or her colleagues working in similar fields (prevalence of the multiplier effect);
- going abroad should enhance the quality and volume of the Erasmus+ mobility and the internationalisation of the institution together with the improvement of the quality of related services.
The University will conclude a grant agreement with the successful applicants. The applicant can not start a staff week or training week without a valid signed grant agreement. Supported applicants must submit a written professional report to the Mobility Department of the International Relations Directorate within 15 days reckoned from returning home.
In accordance with the guiding principle of the Erasmus+ Programme, the principle of mutuality should be observed in the case of the administrative staff mobility too (balance of the number of persons sent and received).
