650 years of the Hungarian higher education - Travelling exhibition

Travelling exhibition will be opened with the title of "The history of the universities in Pécs (1367-2017)" at the University Library Centre for Learning on the 6th of December in 2016. The event is in a close contact with the Jubilee year of the University of Pécs in 2017.

The history of higher education in Pécs dates back to 1367, when Louis the Great initiated the establishment of a university in the episcopal city of Pécs. As a result of an integration process of several stages, the University of Pécs was founded. The goal of the exhibition is to present a historical overview from the foundation to the integrated University of Pécs. The exhibition is going to visit the main departments of the University.
