The international European students of Pécs bring their respective cultures to the citizens of Pécs through concerts, culinary demonstrations, country presentations, performances, and film screenings!

Following the first ever Somali bandy team in their struggle to reach the World Championship in Siberia 2014. The team lives and trains in Borlänge, Sweden and is coached by legendary, former bandy player Per Fosshaug and Cia Embretsen.

Mina is a young single mother living in Oslo with her 6-year-old son Felix. She is an Norwegian Pakistani with a troublesome relationship with her family. Mina is constantly looking for love, however none of the relationships bears any hope of lasting very long. So when Mina meets Jesper, a Swedish film director, she falls head-over-heels in love.

Warriors from the North is a relevant, agenda setting film about the radicalization of young people. The film tells the story of a group of young Somali men who want to join the Islamic fundamentalist terror organization, Al-Shabab, to become suicide bombers in Somalia. The film examines why young men in their early twenties decide to head towards this horrifying destiny.

Dino, a young Swedish girl has fled the Swedish mass unemployment for a new life in Oslo. But like many other young immigrant Swedes she finds herself out casted and surviving on little money, irregular work and hard partying. When she lands work as a housekeeper in an upper middle-class Norwegian house she is thrown into a life very far from her own. And during a few summer weeks, the family father Steffen and his teenage daughter Ida find themselves competing in a way nobody could have predicted.

A BALLON FOR ALLAH (Norwegian documentary film, 2011, 58 min, with English subtitles)

Norwegian-Turkish filmmaker Nefise decides to send a balloon letter to Allah in order to change the role of women in the Muslim culture. Following her grandmother’s Sufi path, she goes on a quest to find grandma’s Islam. She experiences the diversity of Cairo, Istanbul and Oslo by meeting Nawal El Saadawi, Gamal Al Banna and Asma Barlas. As she strolls through this maze, the link between the three Abrahamic religions and the oppression of women becomes clear to her.

Kesse is a third generation fisherman who lives in a small and windblown town in northern Jutland. Times are changing and new fishery policies are pressuring the local fishermen. As a result Kesse is desperately struggling to keep his heads above water. He is forced to find more notorious ways of making ends meet, which in turn leads him to meet the marine biologist Gerd. Despite obvious differences, they fall head over heels in love and Kesse is suddenly faced with the difficult choice of whether to continue fighting for the life he knows so well, or to start anew.
