Prof. Garib Murshudov researcher of the LMB, Cambridge will give a lecture with the title
Research in forefront of science: Laboratory of Molecular Biology
on 25. November 2014 (Tuesday) from 17:00 to 18:00
The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB, Cambridge) is a world-class research laboratory, dedicated to understanding important biological processes at the molecular level - with the goal of using this knowledge to tackle major problems in human health and disease. The LMB is one of the birthplaces of modern biology. Many techniques were pioneered at the labolratory, including DNA sequencing, methods for determining the three-dimensional structure of proteins and the development of monoclonal antibodies. Over the years, the work of LMB scientists has attracted ten Nobel prizes, dozens of Royal Society awards and numerious other scientific honors. Among the 440 scientists, 50 countries are represented. For their PhD program students come from
different background: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, medical research.
Everyone is welcome to visit the lecture!
