Professor Stefanie Bode-Böger graduated from the Medical University of Hannover (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover - MHH) in 1990. In the same year she received the title of dr.med./MD in the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of the Medical University of Hannover. She received her medical license in 1992. Then she spent one year as a resident at the Vascular Surgery Department of the Medical Center, MHH (K. Alexander). After her postgraduate studies on Public Health at the Medical University of Hannover in 1995 and 1996, she was a DFG fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Falk Cardiovascular Research Center (J.C. Cooke). In late 1997 she became a specialist in clinical pharmacology.
In 1998 she received the honorary degree of "Magistra Sanitatis Publicae" and Venia Legendi in the field of clinical pharmacology and was appointed deputy director of the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of the University of Hannover. She has been the director of the Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of the Medical Faculty of the Otto von Guericke University since 2002. In 2003 she was elected to be a board member in the German Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapy.
