New opportunities at the UP’s Foreign Language Centre
The Foreign Language Centre of the University of Pécs has recently expanded its range of language examinations for specific purposes. From now on, in addition to the already available examination types - ITK ORIGO, Goethe and ECL –, the KITEX economic language exam in English and German can be taken three times a year as well.
Furthermore, the institution has also appointed a platform where the online TOEIC language exam can be taken; further exam types are likely to be available shortly. The top language in demand is English, closely followed by German and Italian. Usually there are a great number of foreign students taking Hungarian ECL language exams.
Preparatory courses and short-cycle weekend trainings aim to prepare participants most of all for the exam types mentioned above; but for instance, Japanese language courses led by a native Japanese instructor for beginners and upper intermediates are also launched each semester. Besides lessons, in the form of so-called informal sessions the Japanese language teacher provides participants an insight to the exciting mysteries of the oriental culture.
