I. Confucius Day in Pécs
This was the first time when the Faculty of Health Sciences organized the traditional September event of Confucius Institutions, the Confucius Day.
The reason behind the event was the thousands years old traditional Midautumn Festival, which is held based on the Chinese calendar on the 8th lunar month’s 15th day. This is the second biggest event after the Chinese new year.
The first Confucius Day was held in the framework of the Pécs Days and the institution prepared with interesting programs. Families are the main target audience of the event, so from 26 September everbody could find something interesting for themselves.
We could see the performance of a special art group from Foreign Studies University in Peking on 27 September in the Széchenyi Square.
The two-day-long event was opened by Dr. József Bódis, Rector of the University, Dr. József Bethlem, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Prof. Mao Hong, Head of PTE Faculty of Health Sciences HKO Confucius Institution.
