The specialty of this guided tour was - besides being held after sunset - the torchlight, that turned the walk into a magical time travel on the streets of the city. While the main aim was to show the sights to the ever-growing international student community, there were also many locals participating who took the opportunity to see their hometown in a different light.

The programme started with the welcoming words of János Rinfel, President of Student Union, followed by the speech of Mr. Zsolt Páva, the major of Pécs. He asked the students present to be proud citizens of the university and to be worldwide messengers of the city. Mr. József Bódis, rector of the University of Pécs also welcommed the students and talked about the importance of cultural learning process between the locals and the growing international student community.
